This Privacy Policy is drafted in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). It explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and store it, and the choices you have.

Plynth Pty Ltd ABN 00 000 000 000 is an Australian-registered technology company that provides cloud-based software to automate town-planning and property-development documentation.
2. What information we collect and why
We collect personal information only where it is reasonably necessary for our functions.
Contact form (website)
When you submit an enquiry through our website contact form we collect:
- Name
- Email address
- Company
- Role or position
- “How did you hear about us?” response
- Your message to us
We use this information to answer your enquiry, provide support and track prospective client interest. Collection is based on your consent and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.
Subscription form (website)
If you sign up to our newsletter we collect only your email address. We use it to send product updates or marketing communications you have opted in to receive. You can unsubscribe at any time.
User account (app)
When you create an account in the Plynth app we collect:
- Name
- Email address
- Company
- Role or position
We need this information to create and manage your user account, authenticate you, and administer billing or subscriptions.
Chat interface (app)
All text, files or other content you provide while using the in-app chatbot are stored on our servers so that we can process your requests, generate outputs and maintain your project history.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use essential cookies to make our site and app work and optional analytics cookies (set only with your consent) to help us understand usage patterns. Typical data captured includes device identifiers, IP address, browser type and usage statistics.
3. How we use your information
We use the personal information described above to:
- deliver, operate and improve the website and app;
- respond to enquiries and provide customer support;
- send operational emails such as password resets or service notices;
- send marketing emails where you have opted in (with simple opt-out links);
- maintain security, prevent fraud and ensure system integrity;
- comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
4. Disclosure of personal information
We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing. We disclose personal information only:
- to service providers who assist us to operate (for example, cloud hosting and email delivery) under strict confidentiality and data-processing agreements;
- to professional advisers (such as lawyers and accountants) bound by professional duties of confidentiality;
- to regulators or law-enforcement agencies when required by law.
Where data is transferred or stored outside Australia, we take reasonable steps under APP 8 to ensure that the overseas recipient handles it in accordance with the APPs.
5. Storage and security
All web and app data are stored in Microsoft Azure SQL databases or Azure Blob Storage. Data is protected by encryption at rest and in transit, role-based access controls, audit logging and regular security reviews. If a data breach is likely to result in serious harm, we will comply with the Notifiable Data Breaches (NDB) scheme, including prompt user notification.
6. Data retention and deletion
Contact-form submissions are retained for up to two years unless continued correspondence is required, after which they are securely destroyed.
App account data and chat history are retained while your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated personal data and project content are automatically erased within 30 days (including from backups) unless we are legally required to keep it for longer.
Aggregated, anonymised analytics that cannot identify you may be kept indefinitely.
7. Your privacy rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Withdraw consent or unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time.
- Complain if you believe we have breached the APPs (see section 9).

8. Cookies and analytics preferences
Essential cookies are placed automatically to enable core functions. Optional analytics cookies are only placed if you accept them via the cookie banner. You can adjust cookie settings in your browser at any time.
9. Complaints
If you have a privacy concern:
- Email our Privacy Officer at privacy@plynth.ai.
- We will investigate and respond in writing within 30 days.
- If you are dissatisfied with our response you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect operational or legal changes. Significant changes will be announced on our website and, where appropriate, via email. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
